Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Fishero Funeral Home, Veedersburg, for Mrs. Florence Harper, age 74, who died Wednesday, Jan. 24, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville. She had been a patient there since Sunday, following two years of failing health. The Rev. Samuel Pritchard officiated. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. Mrs. Harper was born Feb. 14, 1887, in Montgomery County, a daughter of Taylor and Hannah Davis Alston. She was married to Hurley Harper, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Harper was a member of the EUB Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Louise Jefferies of Hillsboro; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. --typed by Walt W
